Scott Burgholzer
Scott Burgholzer, a native of Elburn, IL, received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Lewis University and his Master of Science degree in Data Science with a concentration in Computer Science also from Lewis University. He has been accepted into Purdue University Online’s Doctorate of Technology degree starting Spring 2024.
Scott came to Weather Command in December 2016 as an intern focused mainly in Meteorology as he was in the College of DuPage Meteorology program as well. With his knowledge in both Meteorology and Computer Science he was eventually brought on full time as the IT Support Meteorologist.
While at College of DuPage, Scott and fellow Staff Meteorologist Nathan Halm, developed the College of DuPage’s NEXLAB for iPhone app.
Scott currently holds the Amazon Web Services Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification and plans on earning more AWS certifications!
When time allows between work, life and school, Scott enjoys being a member of his Church where he has offered up his IT knowledge to assist the Church, volunteering for his local Amateur Radio Emergency Services group, as well as storm chasing whenever possible. He also enjoys traveling the United States via vehicle instead of flying (except Hawaii, and yes he has driven, as a kid, to Alaska three times!).
